Donna Griffin is an author and Master Journalism Educator who is passionate about bringing people together through the power of books. She weaves written words and printed pages, and collaborates with celebrated illustrators to create powerful stories! 

Donna Griffin is mostly known as Nana and Mrs. Griffin. She’s been a journalist, teacher, and writer for-ev-er and continues to help kids go for their dreams through media creation. She has written children’s books about Christmas, a goat named Old Whiskers, First Amendment superheroes, the Ultimate Sibling Showdown, an epic online poetry slam, and a SUPER story about her hometown, Indianapolis! She lives in Greenfield, Indiana, with her husband and goes on adventures, big and small with her grandchildren and students of all ages. She is an independent author and educator who connects kids and teens to their communities with her 501c3 non-profit, Dani’s Dreams Innovation in Education Corp and Student Voices @ Butler University. She teaches English and Media at Zion Lutheran School in New Palestine.  

She loves bringing fun, hands-on educational activities to schools, after-school programs or nonprofits.
