While she currently lives in Bloomington, Isabelle Popp was born and raised in upstate New York. She holds a degree in Astronomy from Cornell University, an M.A. in Secondary Mathematics Education from The City College of New York, and an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. She arrived in Bloomington, Indiana, in 2013 as the trailing spouse of an academic. The life and community she has built in Indiana inspired the setting of her debut romance, Let’s Give ’Em Pumpkin to Talk About, as did her childhood as a competitive 4-H kid eager to win blue ribbons at the state fair. When she’s not writing romance, she works as a freelance writer and fiber arts teacher.
