K. R. S. McEntire is from the generation that dashed through Platform 9¾, fell in love with vegetarian vampires and motorcycle-riding werewolves, and took down a corrupt government during the Hunger Games. With a background in journalism and public relations, McEntire believes stories have the power to reveal truth and inspire meaningful change.

McEntire grew up on the East Side of Indianapolis and currently lives in Pike Township with her middle-school teacher husband and three sons. She has worked for The Indianapolis Public Library for almost six years. McEntire is an Indianapolis Public Schools (Key Learning Community) and Ball State University alum. At Ball State, she studied journalism and creative writing.
