Karen Joy Fowler
Karen Joy Fowler is the New York Times bestselling author of seven novels, including The Jane Austen Book Club and We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves, which was the winner of the PEN/Faulkner Award and shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize, and four short story collections. Her novel, Booth, was long-listed for the 2022 Booker Prize. She has been a Dublin IMPAC nominee is the co-founder of the Otherwise Award and the current president of the Clarion Foundation (also known as Clarion San Diego). She lives in Santa Cruz, California. Fowler grew up in Bloomington, Ind., where her father was a professor of psychology at Indiana University.
